		<p class=Making a complete sack-back Windsor chair using traditional hand methods beginning with the raw wood, a log, is a very rewarding experience for any woodworker. You will start with a log on Monday and learn the skills of riving wood while splitting out the parts for bending. You will also learn how to steam-bend wood, shape the spindles with a spokeshave and turn all the stretchers for the chair, as well as carve the seat using traditional tools such as a scope and travisher. you will leave on the sixth day with a finished chair, painted using traditional milk paint.
