Build a Guitar from Scratch
Build a Guitar from Scratch in 17 Days
Starting with roughly dimensioned wood, each student will shape the neck, bridge and internal bracing of the guitar using simple hand tools. You will bend the guitar's sides by hand and install the sound hole rosette. You will also learn how to set the guitar's playability by shaping the nut and saddle and setting the proper neck relief. Each student will leave with a great sounding, easy playing guitar that they made themselves. All guitars leave the shop ready to be finished at home using simple instructions we provide.
Also included in the tuition cost is a hard-shell, plush-lined case. Specify Martin, Dreadnaught or OM body style and choice of tonewoods.
